Day 5 in the World Cup house

Day 5: I kept an eye on New Zealand v Slovakia while at my desk (the benefits of some jobs) and was very pleased when the all-whites, as we have to call them, equalised. I managed to keep less of an eye on Ivory Coast v Portugal, but apart from an unlucky Ronaldo shot (haha), an outbreak of handbags and Drogba's subtle arm cast, there didn't see much to get excited about.

I was back home (great song) for the intruiging Brazil v North Korea and it was a fascinating contest. I was desperate for the Koreans to hold out for a draw but it wasn't to be.

Now it is Day 6 and I'm doing some less than dedicated eye-keeping on Honduras v Chile. I have had no beers and am struggling to stay awake at my desk. It is 2pm.

  1. I apologise. As their coach said, there is no such place as North Korea - it is the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. And don't you forget it!
